Tikal is Vincent Bernal,born 1977, living near Paris (France). He has a guitarist/percussionist background and he moved to writing electronic music 5 years ago.
His music is melodic groovy morning stuff, perfect for outdoor parties. It`s a fresh new style with new ideas and lot of unusual samples and sounds and strong ethnical and tribal elements.
His debut album, Ritual Cycle, released on Neurobiotic Records, was one of the most successful albums of 2004. Since then, he played all over the world including France, Italy, Japan, Germany, Brazil,South Africa ,Sweden, Denmark,Israel ,Russia, England, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Greece and Switzerland performing in some of the most important events worldwide such as Full Moon Festival in Germany , Universo Paralello in Brazil , Sonica in Italy and Vortex Captown.
During this time, Tikal released tracks on some of the most important labels around such as Spirit Zone, Nano Records, Dragonfly and Mind Control always receiving huge feedbacks from trancers around the world.
His new album "Carnaval" features 10 tracks in the typical Tikal style, full of feelings and emotions. 8 dancefloor friendly tracks, including a remix of the famous Silicon Sound track “the Shell” and a crazy Brazilian interlude that culminates in an almost acoustical Tequila will bring the listener to a colourful and peaceful journey ending with 2 downtempo/chill out tracks.
